ප්‍රංශ විවෘත ටෙනිස් තරගාවලිය - 2022

පිරිමි කේවල අවසන් තරගය 

පැරිසියේ ස්ටේඩ් රෝලන්ඩ් ගැරෝස් හි පැවති අවසන් පූර්ව තරගයේ දෙවන වටයේදි වළලුකරයේ ආබාධයක් හේතුවෙන්  Alexander Sverrev   ඉවත් වීමට සිදු වූ පසු Rafael Nadal  ඔහුගේ 14 වැනි ප්‍රංශ විවෘත ටෙනිස් ශූරතාව සදහා ආසන්න වෙමින් සිටි.

 ජනවාරි මාසයේ ඔස්ට්‍රේලියානු විවෘත ටෙනිස් තරගාවලියේදී වාර්තාගත 21 වැනි ග්‍රෑන්ඩ් ස්ලෑම් කේවල ශූරතාව දිනාගත් Nadal , තවත් ප්‍රංශ විවෘත අවසන් තරගයකට පිවිසෙන විට ඉතිහාසයේ ඕනෑම ක්‍රීඩකයකුට වඩා කූපේ ඩෙස් මවුස්කෙටෙයාර්ස් ( Cupe des Moussquatories) පහකට හිමිකම් කියයි.

 Zverev දෙවන වටසේදි ඔහුගේ වළලුකර  පෙරළීමට පෙර Nadal ට එරෙහිව දැඩි  සටනක නිරතව සිටියේය.  ඔහු රෝද පුටුවකින් පිටියෙන්  පිටව ගිය අතර තවදුරටත් ඔහුට ඉදිරියට යා නොහැකි බව තහවුරු කිරීම සඳහා කිහිලිකරු සමඟ ආපසු පිටියට පිවිසියාය. 

                                      

 2014 එක්සත් ජනපද විවෘත ශූරයා වූ Marin Cilic 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 ලෙස පරාජය කල  Casper Ruud අවසන් මහා තරගයට සුදුසුකම් ලැබුවාය . මේ අනුව ප්‍රධාන  අවසන් තරගයකට සුසුදුකම් ලැබු පලමුවන නෝර්වේ ජාතික ක්‍රීඩකයා බවට Ruud පත්විය . දේශගුණික විපර්යාස විරෝධි ක්‍රියාකාරිකයෙකුගේ බාධා කිරිම නිසා තරගය විනාඩි දහයක් පමන නතර කිරීමට සිදු විය .

Men's Single Final 

 Rafael Nadal is approaching his 14th French Open title after Alexander Sverrev withdrew due to an ankle injury in the second round of the semi-finals at the St Roland Garros in Paris.

  Nadal, who won a record 21st Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open in January, now holds five more Cupe des Moussquatories than any other player in history as he enters another French Open final.

  Zverev fought hard against Nadal before rolling his ankle in the second round.  He left the field in a wheelchair and returned to the field with a crutch to make sure he could not move any further.

  Casper Ruud defeats 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-2

  Qualified for the grand final.  Ruud became the first Norwegian player to qualify for a major final.  The match had to be stopped for about ten minutes due to an interruption by an anti-climate activist.
